The Burg - A Restaurant Review

There is this new little restaurant in Rexburg where we live. It is called "The Burg". Like... hamBURGers in rexBURG! *pun intended* get it?! hahaha. It's in a cute little dome shaped building just off of campus where an adorable little diner styled place was before. Chris and I were excited to see the changes and while we were there and decided I just HAD to write a review... so... here it is!

First and foremost: I will say that I enjoyed the overall experience at the Burg. Let me give you some pros and cons.

Shakes: I ordered the small and was astonished at how small the cup was, however, when they brought it out, it was towering over the top double the size of the cup. It was absolutely delicious! I think we found our new shake place. (just as good, if not better than shake out) *thumbs up* [[suggestion for the burg --> Make a cookie dough milk shake PLEASE! With how amazing your shakes are, I would love to get one of these from you! :)]]

Fries: Homemade, overflowing from the cup. "5 guys style". Pretty good, but not to die for.

Burger: The bun was amazing, but the burger was a little burnt. I don't think I would order it again.

Fry Sauce: Too spicy! I love fry sauce and I barely touched it here. *thumbs down*

Service: Very quick and friendly *thumbs up*

Appearance: Crisp and clean, but nothing too unique or special.

Price: Pretty expensive, I was shocked! However, we paid $14 for one meal, shared it between the 2 of us, and were pretty satisfied and rather full by the time we finished.

Over-all: I had read something before the grand opening about how this restaurant was unlike "anything else" that Rexburg had ever seen, and was "completely different than shake out". So I was pretty excited to see something new. I was pretty disappointed since it's almost the exact same menu and they haven't changed much but the seating and paint colors. However, with that aside, I would probably go here again, but I'm not sure it's a favorite or a "must see". Sorry.. :/

Cry it out day 2

He screamed at nap time for 45 minutes, then fell asleep.
He only slept for 45 minutes...
He was absolutely exhausted and didn't take another nap all day.

HOWEVER, I did our bedtime routine and put him down at 7:30. I leaned over to turn on his pooh bear star projector and realized his eyes were wide open but he wasn't whining. I carefully reached over and waited for the scream... it never came.

It is now 8:30. Both my boys are in bed and fast asleep! I don't quite know what to do with myself. Time for this momma to take a hot bath and read a book... NOT! Homework in a quiet stress free house is the next best thing, right?!

Cry It Out

It's time...
to cry it out...
It breaks my heart...
He cried for an hour and a half...
I don't know if I am ready for this...
